Japanese Consortium Joins Arctic LNG 2

The Japanese company Mitsui and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) have decided to join the Russian Arctic LNG 2 project. The Japanese consortium has recently signed a sales and purchase agreement with Novatek, a Russian gas producer, for a 10% participation interest in the Artic LNG 2 project.

A new project is in progress in Algeria

The oilfield in Tsila, located about 1.100 km southeast of Algeria, will produce gas, LPG and condensate, providing them to local Algerian market and suppling them for the export. The contract for the development of the deposit has been assigned to Petrofac and Groupment Isarene.
